The Gathering Place Partnerships
The Gathering Place maintains several ministry partnerships which we feel reflect the heart of our Lord. As we have been blessed in our own church, we seek to sow seeds for the kingdom of God. We support these organizations through financial gifts, material donations, service projects, and prayer. It is our desire that our congregation and our community be educated about and empowered to help the causes which each of these partnerships represent.

Robin’s Nest is a children’s home in Jamaica. This home gives shelter, education, and purpose to children who would otherwise be forgotten. The Bible shows us clearly how dear little ones are to God’s heart. We are all called to look after orphans. Therefore, we seek to be instrumental in providing for the underprivileged children of this island. Robin’s Nest gives a childhood back to those from whom it was taken and shares God’s love with each child along the way.

Life Choices is a locate pregnancy resource center operating in Fremont, NE. Their center seeks to serve woman facing unplanned pregnancy. They provide options counseling, ultrasounds, referrals, parenting classes, peer support, and material resources at no cost to their clients. Their mission is to create a culture in which abortion is no longer needed, but also unthinkable. At the Gathering Place, we hold a firm and Biblical stance that life begins at conception and that all human life is made in the image of our Creator. We support Life Choices to play and active role in the fight for life.

Global Friends has a mission to reach the nations! They exist as a community organization which meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the international student community locally. By hosting events and connecting people, this ministry upholds multicultural friendships. The gospel of Jesus is at every heart beat of this ministry as they share Biblical truths at every opportunity. Their efforts here help to shine the light of Jesus all over the world.

Human trafficking is an heartbreaking issue aboard and close to home. This is why the Gathering Place has chosen to partner with organizations fighting back against trafficking both locally and globally. By supporting Restored Wings and Love Justice, we back important work being done to care for trafficking victims. Our hope is that they may be empowered to leave behind modern day slavery for good. Human trafficking is a direct attack on the image of God and needs our attention and prayer.
